Empower Advocacy Programs

Four main pillar programs form Empower Advocacy’s scope of work, the four programs are designed to meet the needs of different target groups, whether local or international. The four programs are also designed based on need assessment that was done by Empower Advocacy prior to it’s launching.

Empower Advocacy Projects fall within one or more from the programs below.


A series of lectures (100 minutes long) offered to Universities, NGOs, clubs, and active groups, the goal of the lecture is to introduce attendees to the latest in advocacy studies, theories and expertise contributed by campaigners around the world.

The lectures are very interactive and rich in case studies with video and audio explanation methods.
The goal of the project is to raise awareness on the importance of advocacy as a tool of local and nation-wide change.

This program is auto-funded by Empower Advocacy.


The Advanced Advocacy skills program includes 3 different training modules designed to meet the needs of organizations and activists, regardless of their level of knowledge and skills in advocacy, location, and nationality.


Introduction to Advocacy
A 3 days training program on Advocacy featuring the basics of problem identification, goal building, team building, stakeholder analysis, Empower theory, campaign strategies and tactics, and campaign messaging.

Basic Advocacy Training
A 4 to 5 days training workshop, aiming at empowering participants to launch their local advocacy campaigns, the training covers the basics of strategies, problem identification, problem analysis, cause building, Team build-up, advanced stakeholder analysis via SOTG, campaigning skills, strategy building, tactics application, critical thinking and troubleshooting, and basic journalistic and leadership skills.

Advanced Advocacy Workshop (TOT module)
A 6 to 7 days training workshop, focusing on advanced skills to plan, build strategies, and lead successful campaigns. Only trainees who have successfully completed Advanced Advocacy Training are entered to the expert level, accompanied with practical execution, in addition to a “trainers module” allowing each expert to be an Empower Ambassador capable of conducting advanced advocacy training on his / her own.


Always ongoing, weekly class of 6 sessions (18 hours in total), where participants learn about advocacy and it’s theories, along with the basics of planning and launching a campaign. The school is open for anyone to attend, the courses are held at Empower Advocacy premises in Beirut.

Possible beneficiaries are Journalists, Campaigners, Activists, NGO staff, University clubs…

Attendees are granted a certificate of participation at the end of the sessions if they complete 80% of the designated course.


The main pillar of Empower Advocacy work, The Annual Academy is a 15 days closed training workshop, where participants join in from around the world. The academy covers a wide range of courses needed for trainees to become professional cause advocates & advocacy trainer of trainers.

Empower Advocacy believes that a successful campaigner or campaigning team should have a wide knowledge on a set of subjects and skills, A successful campaign needs good leadership skills, great messaging and media skills, along with proper understanding of politics and analysis of opportunities, the academy features several modules that builds the capacity of campaigners on the needed skills.

Attendees are not allowed to leave the premises during this time without prior consent, All needs will be handled by the Academy team officials, including accommodation, food, field trips, and entertainment activities.
